How long is a length of rope aroung the world if u add a meter?

If there was a rope, tight around the equator of the world (ume it is smooth, with no altitude differences) and you were to to add a meter to its length, how big (if distributed evenly) would the gap be between the earth and the rope??? Could you fit: an ant? a cat? a dog? or an elephant?? under the rope??
