How will I determine ovulation now?

I had laparoscopic surgery to remove an endometrioma(cyst) from my right ovary on Dec 10. I was on my period(2days) when I had the surg. So, between the period and the norm bleeding from the surgery, I was bleeding for about three weeks. So, needless to say, when it was time for my normal period at the beginning of January, I didn't get one. Now its Jan 24 and still nothing. It's really frustrating because I was just getting the hang of my cycle and ovulation. I guess thi really isn't a question but more venting. Give me your opinion...Do you think it will take long to get back on track with a regular cycle? I'm ttc for 8 months.
