Can you drink alcohol while drinking this medicine?

Last week i had a pretty bad cold.congestion and cough.The doctor perscribed me prednisone 10MG i tablet by mouth twice daily and bromfed DM syrup one teaspoon by mouth every 8 hours..im missing just 2 days to finish my medication and i also feel fine now. am i able to consume alcoholic beverages while on these medicines?will it cause a bad reaction. or is it fine. no where on the bottles does it say you cannot consume alcohol btw
