Do people who leave the Latter Day Saint Church mostly become atheists, or of other Christian denominations?

I think alot of people get caught in the challenges facing the Mormon church in terms of scientific and archeological proof. Many then turn to a Protestant religion only to find that they face the exact same problems. Some go back. Some stay Protestant. Some go the way of agnostic or atheist.
