How long does a child molester stay as a registered offender?

Someone close to me was molested as a child by her uncle at 11. Shes now 18. I looked him up in the megans law but I could not find his name. I'm starting to doubt her aunt pressed charges on this guy because their still married. Would she still be able to press charges on this guy or is it sadly too late because she still suffers from the trama
