I keep seeing this: "Science mistakenly calls it evolution" Are we unduly afraid of a controversial word?

Perhaps we should change it to "biological evolution" just ot make sure some people don't get confused. However, there will still be people that deny such a thing takes place. Or there will be people saying it has a "limit" of sorts.
