Movies with .srt file stuff up in Real Player & WMP Clic and doesn't play in WMP11?

HELP!!! I have 3 AVI movies that come with a .srt file - subtitles and I have DirectVobSub which instantly loads the subtitle, but when I play the file (with the subtitle and directvobsub) in Real player and Windows media player clic, the video shrinks to a quarter of a size and vertically and horizontally flips. In windows media player it just doesn't play. Without the subs and directvobsub it's normal. Please help - i just want to watch the videos normally!!
