Our pup is a bet hound mix. Will she endure back problems as she ages? 10 pts?

What is the life expectancy of a bet hound? Is there anything we can do other than diet and exercise to help her grow healthy? She also sees her vet regularly and is very healthy right now. We just want her to stay that way. Mischief and all!
